The Skytypers Air Show Team is a squadron of six WWII airplanes that perform at air shows throughout the United States and Canada. Operating the venerated North American SNJ-2, the skytypers bring a unique and exciting addition to any airshow.

With more than 600 air shows in the United States and Canada and a cumulative annual audience of more than 12 million, air shows are an excellent marketing venue to help brands reach a hard-to-reach market: large numbers of well-educated adults with young families. Unlike many other events, air shows are not saturated with marketing messages so brand awareness is easily achievable. (Sample a typical airshow narrative)

According to the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS):

  • Annual air show attendance equals more than 12 million, an average of 400,000 per air show.
  • Air show spectators are primarily young families, 59% are married and own homes, with an average party size of 3.6.
  • 93% of air shows spectators live within 100 miles of the event.
  • More than ¾ of air show attendees report incomes of more that $35,000 and more than ½ report incomes of $50,000.
  • 44% of spectators are women.
  • 71.9% of spectators own a home computer and 61.1% use e-mail and the Internet

"Air shows are likely to grow even more popular with marketers as they learn of the events' unusually broad-based demographics and fan loyalty."
